Western Sky Land Trust’s Bow Initiative Aims to Drum up Support and
Awareness for Bow Conservation

Western Sky Land Trust (Western Sky) is the only locally-based, Calgary region focused, charitable land conservation organization. Concentrating on the conservation of watershed lands associated with natural, agricultural, heritage, scenic and recreational values, this mandate is achieved by considering land parcels of all sizes while operating in both urban and rural landscapes.

The Bow River is arguably the most prominent natural icon in the Calgary region, attracting both residents and international visitors for its natural features and recreational opportunities.  Recognizing that land conservation is essential to the health of the Bow watershed, Western Sky is spearheading the Bow and Beyond Campaign, a new effort to promote voluntary land conservation both on the nationally significant stretch of the Bow from Calgary to Siksika and elsewhere in the watersheds of the Calgary region.

Western Sky’s success is dependent on financial support and/or the establishment of diverse partnerships.  We would like to thank Main Dish for lending their support to create awareness for this initiative.  If you would like to learn more about Western Sky or support their Bow and Beyond Campaign please visit their website: www.westernskylandtrust.ca
