WHO WE AREJason Zaran - Owner/Designated Food Eater Family, friends, food, and fitness (not always in that order) have been cornerstones of Jason's life as far back as he can remember. A Business graduate from SAIT Polytechnic, Jason climbed the ranks of the food industry sector, ultimately heading up Canada's Western Region for H.J. Heinz company. His deep knowledge of the industry, passion for the dining experience, and countless meals on the go, led him to the "light bulb" discovery of The Main Dish. Thousand's of busy Calgarians now benefit from his unique lifestyle based eating alternative.
Kevin Outhet - Operations Leader/Owner Food and the business of food has long been a passion for Kevin, from an extensive amount of experience in the kitchen to a business degree from the University of Alberta. Kevin's has managed and led teams at Joey's, Red Robin, and Julio's Barrio. Kevin has been with The Main Dish since day one in 2006.
Ryan Bourquin - Corporate Executive Chef Ryan's love for cooking began in British Columbia 12 years ago and brought him to Calgary to attend SAIT's culinary program. He has since gained experience at restaurants such a Teatro, Vintage Chophouse, and Il Sogno. His love of simple, fresh ingredients combined with healthy modern cuisine led him to The Main Dish in 2008. As the Executive Chef, Ryan looks forward to expanding the growth of The Main Dish in new ways to the local and athletic communities. Ryan is passionate about creating innovative food using locally supplied ingredients and making each dish extraordinary.
Matt Kearns - Edge School for Athletes Executive Chef/Owner Matt graduated with Red Seal in the SAIT Culinary program in 2005 and has 11 years experience in the restaurant industry. One of his passions is fitness and he understands the importance of healthy cuisine. Matt prides himself on developing healthy recipes that taste great and are nutritious, which makes him the perfect fit as the Executive Chef at the Edge School for Athletes. Matt has been with The Main Dish since day one in 2006 and is excited to show Calgary that The Main Dish is the best place to find healthy, athlete driven, and convenient meals.
